I was discussing Miami of Ohio with a buddy (a gator guy). They are the first FBS team to go from double digit losses (1-10) to double digit wins (10-4). Nice turn around.
Miami of Ohio only lost one game to a non BCS team, beat Northern Illinois, and had a good bowl game against Middle Tennessee.
Northern Illinois, the MAC #2, also only lost one game to a non BCS program.

Pretty decent season for the MAC overall, at least compared to their recent struggles. The last few seasons have been beyond rough with Central Michigan being the only respectable team in the conference. We did go 1-2 against the Sun Belt this year, but at that 2-15 clip or whatever the MAC had been in bowls over the last few years, I'll take a 2-2 showing

Running bowl/MSU/OSU record '05-present: 11-32

Well...I still wouldn't call Miami of Ohio "respectable". That might be going to far. In context of their conference, they were great. In total IA, not so great.
