darn, I hate the Longhorns, but wish my Razorbacks and Hawkeyes had their own network.

I'm not a fan of the B10 network, this is like that on steroids. I think in the long run this will not turn out well for the horns.

The problem I see, is that when a person has been able to watch their team play almost every game for free and now may have to pay, this is a recipe for failure. Twenty years ago or more, if I could have the ability to see every game that my team played, I would have payed whatever it took. Now with the current TV exposure, this no longer exists.

Texas A&M, I believe had their chance to go to the SEC and then got cold feet. Texas might very well wind up becoming an independent. The problem with many of the remaining teams in the Big 12, is that they do not have much to offer most conferences.

Baylor, Tech, Iowa St., Kansas St wouldn't add much. A&M, Okie, Okie St, Mizzo would be plums for the right confrence. Kansas? I don't where I'd put them. They do play basketball there! One thing certain. We haven't seen the end of conference alignment. Things never stay the same. Texas like Notre Dame will have their down day. Maybe last year was an aberration maybe it's the start of something new. We'll see.

I think the only school to add anything to the SEC would be A&M. It would enlarge the TV market and recruiting base. Missouri might be the only Big 12 team of any interest for the Big Ten. Oklahoma might be viable for someone, but I don't think there is any interest from the SEC. Okla St would try to piggybag with OU, if they went anywhere.
To me, it would have made more sense for the Big 12 to have tried to replace Nebr and Colorado, with TCU, Houston and stay at 12 teams. However, with Texas wanting to do their own thing, this probably spells the demise of the conference.
It really highlights the smart move Arkansas made when leaving the SWC, and is laughable when people still talking about the Hogs to the Big 12.

I give the Big 12 more years and that will be it.

I always enjoyed Austin City Limits. I wouldn't mind seeing reruns of that. Walker Texas Ranger was good until Noble Willingham left the show so he could run for public office.

I am very fired up for this channel. I think I, like a lot of Texas fans, will get whatever has the Longhorn Network at my house (e.g. I have Cox, but I'll switch to DirecTV in a heartbeat if they carry the network). I bet it'll end up like the NFL network, where you have to pay specifically for that channel the first year or 2, then it'll become part of the Sports Bundle.
It'll be good for all the other non-revenue generating sports fans. I'm excited to be able to watch The Texas Relays every year now. I'm pretty sure there will be a surprising amount of Arkansas fans tune in for that one to:
A) Root for the Hog runners
B) Root against the Horns.
