Congratulations to South Carolina

Postby donovan » Thu Jun 30, 2011 9:50 am

Of course I know this is not the baseball venue...but all week long the only thing I need to know if anyone is still alive on this site.

Repeating is a big victory and USC is to be congratulated. They played some excellent ball. It was like baseball is not played on the one and only true coast. But alas..

Yep...USCe did it again.

I also have to give the Gators kudos for once again making the finals. One thing those dang Gators have done, and I have to hand it to them, is come close to winning the coveted Triple in the decade...National Championships in football, baseball, and basketball.

They covered football (2006-2008) and basketball (2006 & 2007), got to the finals but missed it in baseball (2005). A powerful three year run for the lizards.

And, I give kudos to the SEC. They had a strong showing. For the third straight CWS championship. In the last ten seasons, the SEC has had seven teams in the finals. A strong baseball showing.
“If short hair and good manners won football games, Army and Navy would play for the national championship every year.”

The first game was an "all time classic". Force play at home and the double play home and first was perhaps the greatest 1/2 inning I have ever seen in baseball!
The preceding statements are solely the opinion of GoBoilers and are, therefore, probably not based whatsoever on fact, research or more time in thought than what was required to physically type them. They're probably correct anyway, so you shouldn't argue too much, because otherwise he'll just blather on forever. On the internet Al Gore invented.

Well donovan, there was a time a few years back when Fresno State won the NC by beating Georgia in the finals. So it can be done, keep the faith.

Of course in Sept you will suffer more disappointment. :D :D

Speaking of that, did you get your tickets yet? I'm still working on mine.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.
