It's finally here...

Well, tomorrow night is the start of the season. Anyone going watch any of the games? I will flip between the Miss State vs Memphis game and UNLV vs Wisconsin. The other games really do not interest me that much.
Sure glad it is football season!

I agree. I has been a rough off season for me personally and I am ready for the season to start.

I'm going to be spending my time on ESPN3.com. The games on TV are going to be bloodbaths (Wisconsin, Mississippi State, Kentucky, and Louisville should outscore their opponents by probably an average of 30 points a game). In fact, I don't recall seeing so many uncompetitive games on opening day.
The games that should be competitive are North Texas / FIU, New Hampshire / Toledo, Villanova / Temple (big rivalry in Philly), and Syracuse / Wake Forest. How the Syracuse/Wake game wasn't on ESPN2 or something I have no idea.

On Thursday I am really just:
1. ready to see college football (no matter how bad the games are)
2. see how Mississippi State looks

I'm excited to see Mississippi State as well. Obviously I have been hyping them up lately so I hope it comes together for the Bulldogs
Also I'd like to watch how Russell Wilson does in the Badger offense for about a quarter. Of course UNLV is so so so bad that it's not like he's facing top-notch defense, but it'll be interesting to see how he does.

I'm with ya.
I've been planning to flip on the Louisville game @ 6:30 simply to see the first kickoff of the new season.
I'm gonna do what I can to watch as much College Football (FBS) as I can.
Last year went by, and I haven't been able to satiate my Jones by simply watching replays. And YouTube clip videos do not help, because it just makes the new season that much more desirable.
aahhh!
I need to take a cold shower . . . then maybe I'll tranq myself. (of course I'm not serious)(but I will need something to do over the next 18 hours)

From the miracle in Morgantown to the miracle in the Meadowlands I have always been a Vick fan. Last year watching him take over as the Eagles quarterback I became a fan of the Eagles. I guess as a fan of College Football it is inevitable as it's a continuation of the careers of some of our favorite players. Their fourth pre-season game is tonight but most of the starters aren't expected to play so I'll be flipping between it and the college football games. I probably wouldn't watch it but Vince Young is going to play the first half.

I'd be interested in that, too.
It would be nice to see Vince bounce back after what happened. He started with so much promise.
Just incase I miss it, which I likely will. Feel free to post up how you though he looked.

Awww yeahh!!! I'll be following Wake Forest/Syracuse. 'Cuse favored by 6.5, so this is a good opening game for them, one in which they'll want to make a statement if they are to be better than expected. The Deacons are an okay team, but after the ray of hope that was last season, a loss here is going to make this whole city collectively facepalm.

I don't know what the Hell they were thinking in not putting the Cuse-Wake game on ESPN2???? Crazy, and they missed a good one!

Oh-so true . . .
Jus' like espn dropping the ball when they chose not to bid for the Michigan / Appalachian State game.
And most people couldn't tune that one out.

Yeah, for the App St. game it would have taken the football knowledge that App St is upper crust of the FCS. For the Cuse-Wake game...it would have taken the incredible football knowledge: Syracuse, middle of the Big East, WF, lower ACC team.

Yeah they had US Open tennis on ESPN2. Still though, I'd watch the Cuse/Wake game over Kentucky/WKU any day of the week.

Shouldn't ESPN just have like 100 football fans to poll when scheduling? I mean, why guess, think, or anything else....go to the source! And it wouldn't cost a thing, they'd get 200,000 volunteers??????

And the Kentucky/WKU game still scored 0.91 higher ratings nationally than the preseason nfl games did.
`Course, this was a 10:00pm start time, and only competed with the 10:15 UC Davis/AZ State game (not as much division in viewership. However, it does show, football is certainly on the mind.
