I am going to say out of the gate...I highly doubt Okie State looks like a #9 squad.

Well, they look good so far. Of course, they are playing Arizona: not much defense, young on the offensive front, and minus their #1 receiver.

I think Ok State wins this one going away.

Arizona looks absolutely terrible on defense. They are outmatched at every position. This looks like it is going to get ugly quickly.

Arizona does not have the horses. They should have stayed home. My mom has a bad hip and she could score on that defense.

Anyone else think that Ok State may score a TD on every possession.

Zona is starting to play better. They used some aggression early where they shouldn't have, especially on some 3rd downs. Oklahoma State looks better than I thought, but I still want to see if Zona can book end on defense and maintain some lanes.

They settled down and played better late in the first half. They left points on the field as well. I think the whole may be too deep to dig out of at this point.

Arizona is not Arizona State......Sometimes you are just over matched......These officials must have bought new whistles.

I think Oklahoma St. is pretty solid this year. This game has gone pretty much as expected. If I'm surprised at anything though, it has been their ability to shut down the run.

Zona just can't string enough good plays together. They just look youthful or undisciplined...very much so in the defensive backfield. I see a whole lot of potential in the D-Line, the pressure isn't balanced enough but it is there and more balanced than they were in the 1st half.

If I had to guess, the Cowboys offensive line will be their achilles heel this year, but the QB and receiver core may well cover for them. But I am not sure how good they are???

Okie St relied heavily on their qb's ability to throw the ball under pressure, because rarely did anybody pick up the blitz for him.

That is going to hurt them in conference play. The Cowboys won't play against many defenses with that poor of secondary.

They looked good tonight; but what is that worth, when your opponent can only score once for every 3 times you do?

Oklahoma State probably has the best offensive line in the Big 12. The reason he was pressured so often is because they know Weeden can throw under pressure and if they throw four receivers and someone out of the backfield with Arizona blitzing, they can easily take advantage of one-on-one coverage and/or somebody being wide open, which is what happened for most of the night.

My son really likes the hurry up offense of Oklahoma State...

Of course I grumbled in my best old man way.."Yeah..it is flashy, but it doesn't bring home the bacon".

He returned..."Dad, watch Holgy at WVU this year. His offenses have absolutely ruled."

"Huh..really? Like Oregon's have?"

"Oh Dad, you just are so conservative and don't like new offenses."

"Matt..
How many BCS bowl appearances does Okie State have? Answer: ZERO
How many Big 12 Championships has Okie State won? Answer: ZERO
How many outright Big 8 Championships did Okie State win since 1927? Answer: Yep. None"

I don't like the hurry up offenses either. Like a nap on a sunny afternoon, or in the Spring.....or even in the Winter in front of the fireplace....and Fall...as these rain comes down and he leaves fall.........I like the huddle. A time of respite. I think it was better when all eleven players were in a circle and put their arms on each others shoulders....no wonder football has gone to artificial grass..no respect for tradition.
