LSU doesn't have a good offense...but they do not need one. Forget all of your babble about offense...it is all about the defense.

You answered your own question. If your team is bigger, meaner, stronger, and faster you don't need to run the spread. The spread is used to make up for a lack of talent - usually on the offensive line. LSU doesn't need to run the spread. I don't know if they can survive the whole season running the iso either, but so far that is all the have needed to show.

LSU has a good defense again. But a well balanced offense will be able to put up some points on them. I am not sure they can win a shootout....their offense is not built to play from behind. Arkansas has put up 30+ on the LSU defense 4 straight years I believe (I will have to look it up to be sure). The battle for the boot should be a good game this year. LSU may also run into trouble when they face a team that has the ability to slow or stop their running game.

As for LSU; well, we may not get a full scope of their talent until they play a well balanced foe (like Dossenator has mentioned). Missi State was overrated going into that game. The Bulldogs don't have a balanced offense, and their D is not as deep as other SEC teams; as such, I don't think Missi St was the test for LSU that many had interpreted it as being.

LSU's Defense looks solid; though, whether the Mad Hatter is playing possum on Offense, or if he's shown us most of his cards has yet to be seen.

Still a lot of season left this early. So, time will tell the Tigers' tale.
