LSU - WVU

Ok...WVU lost! Ugly game and LSU can play ball (I thought Les coached a brilliant 1st half.) But I shouldn't have to hear about how great that LSU defense is! Hello, even with 4 TOs and 10 penalties (7 or 8 killers), and absolutely appalling Special Teams play the Eers went for 533 yards against them. If they limited it to 5 penalties and 2 TOs...they go for 700 easy!
Please, I can listen and endure many things, but I am not open to the great LSU D chatter!

But I have to thank Urban for straightening out Mushroom Burger and Street Curb! After all the SEC love they were talking about, Urban informed the only place where LSU had an edge was the Line. Well it wasn't the O-line of WVU having trouble with LSU front! If you would have told me they would have done so well I wouldn't have believed it. The D-Line of WVU could resemble that remark...because of size. But much of that is by design in the 3-3-5. The bigger problem is for 7 or 8 guys to learn that D (big turnover this year). A couple of more weeks and that D will be crushing people again.

But man with Stew fired and no hire at the Special Team Coach spot...I don't know how much they can do for Special Teams. But if they'd simply kick the ball out of bounds...it would be much better. Would have readily saved 14 points tonight...would have been a much different game.

The SEC love is almost sickening. Not to mention the whole slate of games tonight on ESPN were SEC-centric (Vandy/USCe on ESPN2, Louisiana Tech / Mississippi State on ESPNU, Florida / UK on ESPN, LSU / WVU on ABC).

The national media mostly doesn't know anything. I've heard two instances of national media people acting surprised that Western Michigan was even within 20 points of Illinois in the 4th quarter. These people have no clue that Western is one of the best teams in the MAC and could play, on any given day, with some of those Big 10 teams. There's no reason to treat Western Michigan like Akron.

Guilty as charged. I'm not in the media but I didn't even look at Western Michigan i figured Illinois would roll over them.

Well I'm not trying to sound snobby when I say that. As long as you can tell the difference between Western Michigan's quality and Akron's quality, then you're good to go. These announcers can't tell the difference.

I end up quickly choosing all but about 5 games. (I need to start noting that and see which ones I am missing.) That one gave me plenty of pause, if I recall, I think I took the Illini because WMU had let me down a few times.

I actually am just a touch surprised that the Sports guys haven't paid more attention to these teams. Well on problem in the MAC is the rotation in leadership! But I look for Ohio and Temple to solve much of that...I think N. Illinois (often better than Illinois) will be there too, likely WMU. But I do think Akron will start making major steps.

And there is a huge difference between Western Michigan and Akron right now.

You need 2 or 3 TV's like Razor-at least two-one for each eye!

You are right, there are usually only 4 or 5 that bear really watching. On topio LSU looks like world beaters!
