Ark vs the Cheaters
Well, Arkansas took it to the Cheaters of Auburn. I was in Fayetteville all day yesterday. What a great atmosphere....you could feel the electricity in the air. By kick-off the stadium was rockin, and I was all ready sick of all the Auburn fans walking around campus yelling War Eagle. Loudest crowd I have ever been a part of. I have very little voice left today. After Dyer had the big run they pretty much shut him down (finished with 112 yards and over half came on that one run). I watched the ESPN broadcast today. It made me sick. All they wanted to talk about was how great Auburn is, and how Dyer and Frazier are Arkansas boys that decided to go to Auburn. Oh, and how much they love Gus Malzahn. That said very little about how Arkansas destroyed Auburn for 3 quarters. Ark gave up 0 points after the 1st quarter.
It was so loud during the 2nd half that I could not hear myself scream. The guy next to me was trying to say something to me and I could not hear him at all.
I love how Dyer wrote checks with his mouth all week that his legs could not cash. He said he was going to easily get 200+ yards, and that he was going to wear out Ark's defense. I think Ark wanted to really hit him hard. When he left Ark to got to Auburn that was fine....but during the recruiting process he posted a video of himself dissing Ark, etc. It outraged fans. I could care less about that. But if you run your mouth and you don't back it up then you look like a fool. I think he will remember playing Ark, some of those hits he took were brutal. He was limping by games end.
I think Ark is a legit top 5-8 team. I think Bama is in a class all by themselves. I don't buy OU or LSU being in the same class as Bama. We will get to see when Bama and LSU play one another. LSU does not scare me as a Hog fan as long as Miles is their coach, because I know that Ark's coaching staff will out coach him every time. Ark may not beat LSU this year but Ark will put up 30+ points on that so called vaunted defense yet again (same story every year).
Hogs have a buy week and then road games vs. Ole Miss (the week after Bama destroys them), then Vanderbilt (improved but Ark should destroy them), and then back to Fayetteville for South Carolina (another team that Ark seems to man handle every year....a game where Spurrier gets out coached in every year...and I don't see this game even being close....Ark by 21+).
One of the best parts of the Ark vs Auburn game was the flyover by 4 bombers at the end of the national anthem. I videoed the flyover and will post it in the next couple of days.

I also failed to mention this team has been playing with 6+ starters out for the past several weeks....mostly on the defensive side of the ball. Glad this week is a bye. Ark should get healed up some for a big push to the finish.

Re: Ark vs the Cheaters
As I only got to see some of the Ark game I watched it around 3 in the morning. I too noticed all of the talk about Auburn's Arkansas boys. And if I didn't know better I'd have thought they were on another NC run!
I'm real tired of hearing about LSU and that vaunted D! Just as I am not ready to start hearing about that crushing UConn D!
UConn only gave up 8 more yards to the WVU Offense than LSU did.
And they did so with only a 1 TO advantage over the Eers while LSU had a 4 TO (admittedly they earned 2) and a vastly improved WVU special teams. And UConn had more sacks! I know the score is what counts but it doesn't tell the whole story (WVU-LSU and ARK-BAMA) had very common inside stories. (Both Bama and LSU had special teams TD and a pick 6.)
If you are that all pro and you are setting on a 4 TO advantage and the opponents offense is starting at the 10 to 12 yard line on average...then that O shouldn't score, at least not more than 2 FG's!!! End of story.
Ark will beat LSU, unless Arkansas has bad TO's! And LSU has an advantage in having already played a pass happy spread-it-around Eers team.

A good win by Arkansas...Auburn is my Florida of the West.

They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.
The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.
See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

Re: Ark vs the Cheaters
They have discussed his slowing down, before crossing the goal line and then stopping 1 yard into the end zone and placing the ball on the ground, as a possible taunting. Had the slowing down part, before crossing the goal line been interpreted as taunting, this TD might have been disallowed.Dossenator wrote:My favorite play from the game.

OMG was the Usain Bolt?
Wow, that was some blazing speed. I saw somewhere that he is only a 4.5 40-yard guy. That's BS, I'm used to watching 4.3 speed and that guy was cruising. Rivals has him at a 4.4 40y, but I still call BS, that was more like 4.1 or 4 flat speed. That kid has more afterburners than the field can contain. Maybe he was slowing down to place the ball in the end zone at the end of his timed 40's. I going to watch that again, WoW!!!

Re: Ark vs the Cheaters
I feel vindicated. I went back and watched he crossed the ten at about 19.5 seconds into the video and he sat the ball down in the end zone at about 28.5 so he was definitely cruising at about 4 flat speed. Thats about a 3min mile speed or about 20mph.
4sec 40yard
1770yards per mile
1770 / 40 = 44.25
44.25 * 4sec = 177 sec / mile or 2mins and 57secs. At that speed you could get 20 miles in an hour (60/3). Endurance aside it's just a speed rating. To give you an idea, the world record for the mile is 3:43.13, again endurance.
4.5 speed is Darren Bates #25 who he leaves in the dust stumbling.(Rivals)
4.65 speed is #12 Demetruce McNeal. How you get on the field as a sefety with 4.6 speed I'm not sure but clearly you see him getting burned. Interesting pic I found on McNeal.

Re: Ark vs the Cheaters
I was doing some research after finding some of these pictures and came across some interesting information.
Apparently, Nick Fairley had a fake transcript from his high school when he tried to enroll at Auburn. The NCAA clearing house denied him eligibility. Several other Auburn recruits were also found to have had fake transcript at the same time. Since, they were High School transcripts and not college or university related they were not investigated by the NCAA. In Fairleys case it appears his grades were changed to ensure his eligibility for high school football. There is a report that about his transcript and then no follow up report. Later it was announced that he failed an entry exam and would be attending a junior college. He completed 1 year at a junior college and again there was some reports over his grades when he again declared for Auburn. He waited another semester and then declared and was finally taken by Auburn. What I don't understand is that he was red shirted his first year at the junior college and then played his second even though he wasn't eligible? There is a lot that just doesn't add up. Rumor has it that Fairley's wonderlic test was a sizeable 12 out of 50. 10 is literate. To give you an idea, see below. The point is that a minimum 15 is required to handle college academics at the developmental level and then the student is not expected to do more than pass much less meet academic requirements for Auburn or the NCAA. Just sayin, he's where he belongs now, on a field hitting people.

The kids is fast! He could be a 4.4 guy in shorts and a tee but then when he puts on his pads he is 4.45 and the other guys that ran a 4.4 are 4.55 to 4.65. But he looks like 4.3 through the first 40. But he does have a 100 - 200 yard stride style. Which throws off the perception of 40 "speed" as the 40 is an accelerators race, thigh and hip drive. I'm impressed by how well he can do both...more rare in shorter guys. But he surely does not look like 4.5...or 4.4!

You know, as much as I dislike notre dame; I have to admit I Love the fly over.
Especially since my house is just under a mile from the stadium, and the fly over path literally flies directly over the top of my house --- which means I needn't go to the campus

It's funny watching it on TV . . . you can hear it growing, watch it over the stadium, then VOOM!!!, directly above . . .
Coincidentally; when I live on the other side of town, you could watch them fly toward the stadium. They would fly into town from the south, slow . . . then, gone . . .

Here is video of the flyover. This is right from my iphone. The planes flew right over my head, it was loud, the video does not do it justice. I do love flyovers.
