I'm hearing that Ohio State isn't sure as of now if they will accept any bowl bid.

Please don't

I'm on the edge of my seat here because I want Western Michigan to get a shot somewhere, but they are most likely going to get shut out for Western Kentucky. CBS has WKU going to the Hawaii Bowl to play Nevada. If they really wanted some offensive fireworks, they would get Western Michigan who has been putting up about 50 some points a game over the last course of the season.

But I don't want you to go without a postseason if you don't have to

Baylor vs. Washington to the Alamo.

Arrrgh! Of all the great matchups they could give Baylor, they get Washington. Ugh. I wanted to see Baylor/Ohio State in the Insight. Or Baylor/Arkansas in the Cotton. Baylor/Arizona State would have been more entertaining.

I can't go to the game so my post season will be the TV. Ohio State will be alright. It will come down to what the school thinks the NCAA is going to do.

ESPN radio reported that Ohio State and Florida both accepted the bid to play in the Gator Bowl....this was less than 30 minutes ago.

Yes, we are hearing that too. The NCAA ruling comes out in the next week or so. That will have everything to do if they actually do play in the game.

Accept the bid, play the game. The NCAA isn't likely to require them to start this year because they know the money involved in the bowls.

I'm not sure how hard the NCAA is likely to come down on Ohio State. I thought it would be heavy but the loss of Tressel is a big loss for the program and led to a forfeited year this year. I would say lots of probation but fines and time served.

They wouldn't require them to start this year, but why wouldn't Ohio State want to start this year?

If I were OSU and I had to burn a post season appearance...I'd choose now rather than the future.

What's to lose? A rather unexciting game against a very bad Gator team this year? Versus a possible BCS Bowl next year?

That is what most here think.

No doubt! Absolutely no doubt! How often does OSU finish 500.
That being said, how often do 500 teams get in the Gator. Still a no-brainer to me!

Choose the future which is exactly why all this aggrandizement is accumulative and not based on one seasons performance, no matter what criteria is used. CFB makes the the Banking industry look like saints.

I think they are ran by the same people.
