This has been the story all year for the Tigers. When they can hang on to the ball, they are really good. When they turn the ball over, it avalanches. They're down 49-20 to West Virginia at the half.

Clemson can't stop West Virginia. It is hard to believe they made a BCS game.

Governor Haley has ordered the SC flag to be flown at half staff!

Streetcurb's prediction was off by just a bit.

63-20 in the third quarter. Wow, I'm thinking Clemson wishes they didn't get a bowl bid. West Virginia could get close to 100 in this if they wanted.

DH called off the dogs...I know it was a big lead but I would have liked to see the 3rd quarter finished out.

Funny, I thought of her too. I follow her facebook feed and she's been raking in the goodies from Governors' wagers. She took some Virginia ham off of McDonnell, some Omaha steaks off of Heineman, and a Key lime pie from Rick Scott. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if she made a bet with herself on the SC/Clemson game and that's how she ended up endorsing Romney.
Anyway, after all that I guess it's only due that she has to give one away... even if Tomblin is a durn Demmy-crat.

Of particular note, Super All-World Ready2Go Pro WR Sammy Watkins...5 Rec for 66 yards (3 catches of value). And Back Alley Bad Boy TE Dwayne Allen had 2 for 21 yards (1 catch of value).
The WVU Defense is powerful when they flex it. Even in this game they were handcuffed early. At least it was only the 1st quarter, usually they start conservative in the 3rd as well. There just wasn't a need to lay back tonight I guess.

It's called AQ, automatic qualifier. There were probably a half a dozen teams better qualified to have been in a BCS bowl.

I have a hard time believing they could win their conference.

Maye be it's more Jeckyl and Hyde WVU...
WVU looked good in this game yet were abused by seven loss Syracuse (23-49), by LSU of course, also lost to six loss Louisville and barely slid by six loss PItt by one point.
World beaters last night in their Dr. Jeckyl guise...but I haven't forgotten Mr. Hyde.

I think that sometimes there are these type of games...one team rolls full on and the other has flat tires. I do not know how else to explain the ups and downs of both WVU and Clemson this season.
I think, though, I saw Clemson's fortelling hiccups in the GT game where they lost 17-31, the NC State game when they lost 13-37 and following that, South Carolina
13-34.
Than the big Tiger win over VT made some forget those other outings...

I have always kind of liked Clemson and like Dabo because of his energy, but he was over-running his mouth and trying too hard to show energy and exuberance. And you should always be careful how much you run your mouth especially if it can in any way be leaked to the public. Giving up 70 is bad, giving up 35 in a quarter is ridiculous, and being down 63-20 mid-3rd quarter is just terrible. These can damage a program a bit. The damage could be notable considering the mouth running.
I can help but recall us moving into our SC dream house and the wide painting over a mural of Clemson football players on the kids bedroom wall with Blue & Mountaineer Gold. I didn't even know she was a prophetess! I better get to painting my FSU and Marshall murals and get the old lady some fresh paint.
