Fall practice starts today with the first of two "open to the public" scrimmages. Only 30 days until the first game. First chance to see the new recruits join the old vets plus a handful of seasoned transfers from big programs.
Short term now.
see ya there, Swamp Daddy

First public scrimmage over for Louisville. QB Bridgewater looked sharp as did former QB starter Will Stein. This was shorts, helmets and shoulder pads "exhibition" only. Some long runs and athletic catches by receivers. Time will tell if this is to be the year everyone hopes for

I can't wait until kickoff right now. It'll give ESPN something else to talk about other than the NFL which has literally been 24/7/365 on that station. I mean seriously, how they find time to fill the airwaves with NFL minutiae is completely beyond me.

Boise started practice yesterday. The do the veterans in the morning and the newcomers in the afternoon. They will come together for the first time this next Wednesday. Same spin as always....everyone looks good, came in good shape from the summer, etc, etc,. Who knows. But at least it has started in one sense. Hope we can make it this season with just football and not all this other "junk."

Donovan, I was in Spokane two weeks ago after going to Coeur d'Alene to play golf with my dad. Should have thought to mention that to you, even though I know it's a 3 hour drive for you.
BEAUTIFUL place.

The floating hole is kind of fun...but bedsides that it is a very beautiful area. Next time you are close, let me know...In the West that is just a drive and a five iron away. And besides, I need some more laughing and giggling. Another month or so and let the games begin. This conference shuffling for the next couple of years will allow me to not worry about all of that silliness and just go watch some games, for the game itself. Right there in Spokane, Chenney, Eastern Washington has had some scrappy ball teams.

I'm finally feeling that vibe, the weather's cooling off here. I'm itching for this season to kick off. I'm looking forward to a fun season and the camaraderie of this board.
20 days left until day one: 17 matchups with at least one FBS squad involved. A handful of those are of interest at best, but particularly South Carolina at Vanderbilt.
Boise State at Michigan State is a season defining matchup. Looking forward to that one immensely. The same could be said for Alabama-Michigan. In Week 3, Alabama at Arkansas will also be quite interesting.

Well, we're down to 15 days until game one. Where are the CCR rankings??? Blank list by the alphabet now for about a month. I realize rankings this early aren't worth much; but, it's something to view, think about and discuss on boards. Come on, let's get those rankings out.

I'll do that. I can see myself going back there in a year or so. Loved it.
Although I played so bad, I quit keeping score after the 8th hole. (let's just say that after 8 holes I was running about 50 something)
