Well, LSU has lost 8 players for the season so far:

Released from team (multiple failed drug tests)
Corner/Special Teams – Tyrann Mathieu (All-American/Heisman finalist)

Released from team (academically ineligible):
Linebacker: Tahj Jones
Linebacker: DJ Welter
Tight End: Tyler Edwards
Offensive Lineman: Evan Washington

Out with injuries:
Offensive tackle – Chris Faulk
Defensive End – Jordan Allen
Freshman WR – Travin Dural

Only a couple were starters but you would have to think that depth may be an issue. Especially when they get deep into league play. We shall see.

If there is this much this soon going on with the LSU squad, maybe there could be more before this season is over.
