Well, that was swell....5 plays...touchdown. Way to go defense.

I've got a bad feeling about this.

This is gonna be bad. Georgia did not show up. I guess they thought SC would lay down on them, the way Vandy did?

I'm pretty shocked. I was a mild disbeliever in South Carolina. I didn't know if they were really top 10 material, but I think the difference in this game is just that they play better defense. Obviously Georgia is short handed, but I don't think they way they played against Tennessee was much of an aberration.

I'm amazed. I knew they were good, but not this good. I know Georgia has some injury issues, but this is more than can be explained by losing Bennett. South Carolina is scary impressive, and are making a statement out there tonight. They'll be getting a boost on my poll this weekend.

Shocked too. But I was more than mild in disbelief...I thought SC maybe 16th in the country.

No sure why a guy I do not know bothers me. I am neutral on South Carolina....but I really thought Derek could kick it up a notch and give Spurrier a loss. But alas....my friend was no where to be found....

Spurrier bothers a lot of people. He is a first class jerk.

The Old Ball Coach talks, in several ways, like many guys at the Friday evening Monday morning water cooler. His problem is that he is a coach in the public spotlight.

(I try to give him a bit of a break lately...as he reminds me a good deal of the guys from 50 years ago. And I think this was a much better place then. And I think in the future there could be a federal mandate for coaches to spend at least 6 minutes in unadulterated flattery of the opponent before the game. And another 4 minutes after if you lose, 8 if you win, with an additional 12 minutes of apologetic and conciliatory speech. )

I was yelling at the Tube, but they couldn't seem to hear me. 8)

Spurrier was very wise to keep his team quiet, which I'm sure he did. But I still don't like him either.
