I'm not feeling any major upsets this week. A couple trap games did pop out but I'd expect the favorites to win.
Iowa St. & Kansas St. - Kansas St. better not be sleep walking or Iowa St. could turn it into a nightmare.
Washington & USC - Washington has shown they are capable of pulling off an upset. If Oregon didn't break them they could pull it off but they'd need quite a bit of help from USC.
Tennessee & Mississippi St. - Tennessee is a decent team. They are being overshadowed by Fla, SC, and Georgia. Mississippi St.'s resume while flawless hasn't been a who's who list. I think this is their first real test and let's us know how they compare.

Ohio State has trouble with spread offenses. Indiana may be trouble this week.

Oregon State at BYU will not be the game anticipated without Mannion at QB, but will be a test for Oregon State. On the other hand, BYU lost it's starting QB Hill. So it will be like two new teams. It is at Provo an has the potential to making one team real and the other inconsequential, no matter how it goes.
Another game no one East of I-65 cares about is Boise State versus Fresno State. (Well Eric, sincerely, as insightful as he is he listed it.) should be a good game. It is at Boise and with the insane firing last year of Pat Hill, Fresno has something to prove as well as Boise State. Boise has more to prove, so it could be a tussle.

I don't think Boise/Fresno is getting enough attention. As it turns out this year, it might as well be an elimination game for the MWC title. Nevada is the only other team that could win it.

Boise's win 20 to 10 does not seem that impressive, but these are two comparable teams and defense made the difference.
Oregon State and BYU was a fun game to watch. The score was not indicative of how close it was...desperate moves on th Y's part in the last quarter changed to score dramatically. Both quarterbacks did well, the line of scrimmage was not so hot on either side. This was one of those uniform, fan's blackout games...will someone explain how Nike can just ruin about anything..what is with that. Boise is doing it next week against UNLV.....I just don't get most of this stuff.

I don't mind the black-out stuff. I thought BYU's uniforms looked cool, but most of the time when they introduce an all-gray or all-black uniform for a school that doesn't even have that in their color palette that it's completely out of place. Boise State's gray uniforms looked pretty bad and South Carolina's are horrendous. Washington State's gray uniforms on the other hand make sense and at least West Virginia introduced it in association with their coal-influenced look a few years ago.

Arkansas busted out their all dark gray Nike uniforms tonight. I like them but many fans were complaining.
