Bo Pelini Has Problems

Nebraska has these games where their defense just goes down the tube and they can't tackle anybody. Wisconsin is completely running roughshod over them. It's 42-10 at halfitme. This is an enormous stunner.

Even when Wisky isn't very good they they are pretty good at power football. I picked Nebraska, but really we all should have seen this company.

I originally had Wisconsin as of a few weeks ago, but when they kept losing, I thought it was a habit instead of a trend. The domination though is what was so surprising. Nebraska's defense has these games where they look like they're on the right track, but then they turn around the next week and play hideously. I never know what to expect.

The downside is that they get to play Georgia, South Carolina, or Texas A&M in one of the New Year's. I don't think that's going to go over very well. But college football is a strange game.

At Nebraska, definitely. Their incoming AD might be willing to hire his own guy and fire Pelini. Which would be an awful move. Husker fans have short memories, indeed. I can't believe they would want a "Bill Callahan, v.2" in Lincoln again.

That withstanding, games like the one last night have been an occasional pothole in the road for Nebraska under Pelini. If Pelini were to get fired, there would be at least two teams in the SEC that would be happy to hire him.

I agree.
