I don't know how you work your way up to a high level in college football with these types of playcalling abilities. I know the interim coach wasn't their head coach, but he obviously has some basic grasp on how football works. A fade to the sidelines on 4th and 2? Why risk a low-percentage play such as that when you have a field goal on the table? They would have been better off running with Antonio Andrews who, contrary to what Ray Bentley said tonight, is actually their best player by far.
I don't know how Western Kentucky lost to the worst team in bowl history, but I assume it has to do with losing their head coach mixed with playing a virtual road game. I know Western Kentucky struggled down the stretch for some reason, not playing as well as they did earlier this year. But Central? Man, I watched that team quite a bit and they are bad, no question about it. The Western Kentucky that I saw all year was a lot better than that. But, I guess when it comes to bowl games, leaving coaches, motivation, and the team with more fan support in the stands, you never know what is going to happen.
