Not surprisingly, Texas' AD has a superiority complex about this. Deloss Dodds is playing the "A&M needs us, it's our decision to play them, not their decision" card. Maybe the Big XII would still actually have twelve teams without this condescending attitude. With Texas possessing one of the three largest student enrollments in the world, they've been able to get away with it.

If no one from the Texas fan base wants to play A&M, then this state representative mentioned in the linked article should do his research before getting a bill passed requiring an annual game between the two schools.

Just another excuse for a politician to blend politics & sports . . .

Uh-oh; the sheep are wising up . . . let's manipulate them where their vested interest lays.

You know...South Carolina left the ACC and Clemson and that didn't stop the annual game...GT left the SEC...that didn't stop the Georgia game...

I definitely want the game to come back...if it happens to be after Johnny leaves A&M, even better!

Texas pretty much ended the Arkansas vs Texas game also, when Arkansas went to the SEC. For the Longhorns, playing A&M and Arkansas has little, if any, upside. However, for Arkansas it could help them recruit in Texas.

Over the years, it was a game that I very much looked forward to, even though my Hogs usually came out on the short end of the stick.
