Bama_Girl back up with another question.
Who was the first player ever drafted in to the NFL from Yale?
Keep the questions coming. We need someone to come up with one that will go the distance. Could this be the one? 24 hrs.
Also since stumping the field has proven really difficult, I'm raising the question money to 100.00. All questions that stump the field are worth $100.00 CFP bucks.

A convoluted answer...
First Drafted from Yale...Larry Kelly, 1937...by Detroit but never played pro ball. Clint Frank, 1938, Detroit...never played.
First Yale NFL player...(not drafted)...Century Milstead..Giants..1926
First Yale pro...Pudge Heffelfinger, 1892 Allegheny Athletic Club.

It was Choo Choo...but the Ivy League site doesn't credit him as first..
"Pudge Heffelfinger ‘1891 is considered the first professional football player because he received compensation for an 1892 game with the Allegheny (Pa.) Athletic Club 28 years before the NFL was formed. Heffelfinger, who was paid $500, made his presence worthwhile because he scored the games only touchdown in a 7-0 AAC victory.
Milstead was not drafted by the pros, but two of Yale’s most famous gridiron greats were the first Bulldogs chosen. Heisman Trophy winners Larry Kelley ’37 and Clint Frank ’38 were both drafted by the Detroit Lions (and by Major League Baseball teams) but never played professional ball."
