Brook Lopez Ruled Ineligible

Postby BYUfan1 » Sat Oct 13, 2007 9:54 pm

Brook Lopez, the better of the Lopez twins, will miss at least the fist nine games of the season. He can practice with the team, but cannot play until December 19 when the Cardinal play Santa Clara, assuming he gains his eligibility back. It is a key loss, but probably will not have much of an impact since Stanford plays a week non-conference schedule. However, he is the #1 option offensively, and he needs to be ready to play when the conference games start.

The story has changed. Now Brook Lopez is also supsended indefinitely from the team for a violation of team rules-unspecified, of course. Before he could still practice with the team, now he cannot. No word of if the two suspensions will end at the same time.
