UCSB-UC Riverside
So far this game is not too fun to watch. USCB is up 26-16 at the half and UCSB's James Powell has 15 points. UC Riverside is shooting 23.5% from the floor.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
USCB wins 64-53. UC Riverside did rally in the second half but too many missed shots and turnovers did them in.

Review From 1/19/08
Cal State Fullerton destroys UC Davis 88-66 and UCSB defeats Cal Poly 60. UC Davis is just not big or fast enough to keep with the better teams in the Big West. Vince Oliver had a good game for UC Davis, but Fullerton dominated from the beginning.
Cal Poly did not shoot the ball that badly, but the key to UCSB winning the game was great 3-point and free-throw shooting. On certain nights when Alex Harris, Ivan Elliott, and James Powell are on their games, the Gauchos are tough to beat.
It is becoming obvious that the bid from the Big West will come from either Pacific, Northridge, Fullerton, or UCSB. Although UCSB lost to UC Irvine twice, those four are definitely better than the other five. It should be an interesting Big West Tournament if the top four are the remaining four in the tournament.

Pacific-UC Riverside 3/5/08
Pacific clinched at least the fourth seed in the Big West Tournament with a 65-58 victory over UC Riverside Wednesday night. Pacific shot 65.9% from the floor. It was the seventh time this season Pacific trailed at the half but the first time they have ended up winning the game.
