Miami OH-Kent State 3/4/08

Postby BYUfan1 » Thu Mar 06, 2008 8:49 am

In a game that seemed to have more turnovers than made shots, Kent State won 50-39. The game was supposedly a showcase of some of the best players in the MAC, but Mike Scott from Kent State was really the only player that performed well. Al Fisher had a terrible game and Haminn Quaintance missed some easy shots. Michael Bramos didn't do much better for the Redhawks.

Anybody see the Kent State at Akron game?...Zips down 11 and playing terrible with 1:47 left then their defense finally got to KSU and they hit a couple of threes and actually tied the game with :09 left only to have the Flashes' Fisher hit the winning three with :02 left. What does it mean if Akron plays its worst game of the season (including shooting 3-for-23 behind the arc) and still almost gets the recently ranked MAC frontrunner into OT?

KSU may be the best team in the MAC this year but the conference tourney title is up for grabs amongst a handful of teams.
