Lazar Hayward made up for Wes Matthews and Jerel McNeal having off-games by scoring 26 points and getting 8 rebounds as Marquette beats Utah State 58-57. Utah State only scored 18 points in the first half but were able to improve their scoring by running more isolation plays for Gary Wilkinson. However, at the end of the game, Marquette was the tougher team by pounding the ball inside.
