Mizz -v- Memphis

Postby WoVeU » Thu Mar 26, 2009 10:48 pm

Well all the Cats are in the house. Some growling some purring.

Mizz got screwed on the 3 point shot, and got 2! Funny I was sitting there thinking it would be cool to see Memphis throw-up a brick and Mizz throw up some 60 footer for 3. I'd like to have seen a 16 point half time. (Thinking this while they were reviewing the 3 pointer where the line was in question.) Well, Memphis gets their 2 on their trip down but Mizz had enough time to launch that 60 footer...nothing but net! It was great!

Ol' Caliper bothers me...give me a "brake"!

Now Missouri is 26-0 when leading at the half. Scoring 102 on Memphis, I would have never thought it was possible. Of course, this whole season is a surprise. I was beginning to think Missouri was never going to get back to the Norm Stewart days. The program was out of control under Quinn Snyde, and last year's incidents brought more frustration. If Norm Stewart hasn't been at the games, I hope he makes the UCONN game. Missouri with a chance to go to the Final 4, what can be better than that! :D :o

They looked good. I like how they used their speed in the half court (not as common as full court). They do what looks like an entire angular shift and as the defense react, over reacts due to the speed, the side of the lanes open up and they get there and exploit the defense. They remind me of Nova with their energy and motion!
