My Final 4!

Postby GoBoilers » Mon Mar 09, 2009 7:04 pm

Oklahoma, Duke, North Carolina and Pittsburgh. Darkhorse-Kansas as they are playing bwell into the tourney and UCLA because thyey've been there a lot recently. That makes 6 for 4.

Oklahoma should be their because of their stud. UNC, Pittsburgh, and either Louisville or Connecticut. But the brackets will matter a great deal...pulling two really tough teams of the right style can exit a great team!

I'll say Duke, Pitt, North Carolina, and Michigan State. It depends on how the brackets turn out, though. Duke is probably looking at a 2 or 3 seed and my upset-lock, North Dakota State, is looking at a 13-14 seed. They probably won't match up with eachother (I'll predict 4 seed Washington will face 13 seed North Dakota State), but if they do, I'll retract my Blue Devils from the Final Four. Sounds silly, but I've got a good feeling about the Bison in the first round.

Everybody looks good on paper for a sleeper to make a deep run in the tournament. I've got three teams to keep an eye on in LSU, Illinois, and Villanova. Three early flame-outs will be Washington, Marquette, and Missouri.

I think Syracuse and FLorida St. haven taken some 4 seeds from others who might have expected it, like LSU perhaps. I think Louisville just earned a 1 seed. And some at large seeds were lost today, it could be interesting tomorrow.

I really think a few ACC teams and there will be 3 Big East teams from Villanova, Marquette, Syracuse, and WVU to make the sweet 16 if they don't knock each other out. I hope they are seeded apart.

The official Final Four of Death from yours truly: Gonzaga, Duke, Michigan State, UConn. I expect there to be a lot of parody this year because I don't believe the 1 seeds are that superior compared to everybody else. Cleveland State is my Sweet 16 sleeper and I think North Dakota State will knock off Kansas for my mid-major upsets. My deepest-going surprise is Oklahoma State to the Elite 8. In case you were all wondering :D

BYUfan1, I am all for the upset pick. But Oklahoma with that man-child in the middle ain't no easy task! Given he has some talent around him!
