CIT:CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament

Postby BYUfan1 » Thu Mar 19, 2009 8:55 pm

I decided to take a break from the NCAA Tournament, and I watched Old Dominion beat The Citadel 67-59. Keyon Carter had 17 points and 9 rebounds to lead the Monarchs. This was the first postseason game for The Citadel ever. The Bulldogs were led by Demetrius Nelson with 25 points. The CIT is probably one post-season tournament too many, but it is always good to see a team you like play more games.

Old Dominion defeated Bradley 66-62 in the final of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament. Frank Hassell had 18 pints and 15 rebounds for the Monarchs. Marsharee Neely chipped in with 16 points. For Bradley, Chris Roberts excited the crowd with some spectacular dunks and scored 15 points. Bradley got off to a strong start, especially from 3-point range. However, a 3 for 4 start from three turned into 4 for 22. The Braves never did solve Old Dominion's zone defense.
