Slow Road To 100

Postby BYUfan1 » Tue Feb 03, 2009 2:56 am

I am sure behind on my game watching this year. It is now the beginning of February, and I have only watched 103 teams play so far out of the 345(I think) Division I schools. What I need is a month's vacation (Good luck in getting that).

The month of February has not been bad for me. I am now up to 176 teams, which means I am a little more than half way to 345. (I'm counting Seattle U and SIU-Edwardsville although RPI Ratings do not).

Down To Ten

Postby BYUfan1 » Sun May 31, 2009 2:18 pm

Keeping at it, I am down to only needing to watch ten more schools in order to say I watched all Division I schools. Here are those ten:

Alabama State
Central Connecticut State
Florida International
Georgia State
Indiana State
Santa Clara
South Alabama
St. Peter's
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi
Western Carolina

The Last One

After going back and watching Western Carolina defeat Furman at Furman, it is mission accomplished. I saw all 345 Division I schools at least once. Just think, it only took 380 games. Since I still have tapes on the floor, I might as well keep going. So far these are the teams, I have seen the most:

1. Cornell-11
2. Purdue-10
3. Wisconsin-9
4. Western Kentucky-8
5. Temple-7
5. Michigan State-7
5. Arizona State-7
5. Wagner-7
5. Niagara-7
10. Arizona-6
10. Southern California-6

BYUfan I was just perusing around and came across this old post.

I would have never thought I'd be impressed with such a feat...but I am! That has got to blur the line between work and fun somewhere around getting to 150 or 160 teams or so! When you say tapes, how were these acquired? I don't think I have ever been in TV market where I could have done that without having some recorded resource or one Hell of a Cable/Satelite package and some notable DVRing.

I know I have to do something about football and basketball...I am tired of missing WVU games. But I haven't came across a goo solution to get them all.

I don't think very many people have ever watched all Div 1 teams...it would have to be somebody that worked in College Basketball statistics or research I would think! I have to think you also must have watched at least 550 games or more in total for the season!?!?

Gotta be a record. I AM IMPRESSED!
The preceding statements are solely the opinion of GoBoilers and are, therefore, probably not based whatsoever on fact, research or more time in thought than what was required to physically type them. They're probably correct anyway, so you shouldn't argue too much, because otherwise he'll just blather on forever. On the internet Al Gore invented.
