I finally got a chance to watch my favorite Big West team play, and the Pacific Tigers looked good in beating Santa Clara 71-65. Pacific's starting backcourt of Steffan Johnson and Chad Troyer was too much for Santa Clara. Another key was great defense on Santa Clara's big man John Bryant.
