Mississippi State-Memphis

Postby BYUfan1 » Mon Mar 24, 2008 4:06 am

Wishing didn't make it so. Even though it would have messed up my brackets, I was hoping the Bulldogs would pull off the upset. Howver, Memphis won 77-74. Mississippi State played hard, but they just didn't have enough. Barry Stewart had a poor game, and Brian Johnson and Elgin Bailey are just not good substitutes for Jarvis Varnado. Too bad it took so long for Charles Rhodes to get hot.

The beginning of the game was a block party with six total blocks in 7 minutes. This game proved that again that Memphis can win even with poor three throw shooting.
