Michigan State-Memphis

Postby BYUfan1 » Sat Mar 29, 2008 6:10 am

I wasn't like other people who thought Michigan State would pull off the upset, but I wasn't expecting to see the Spartans get clobbered in the first half. Michigan State looked slow and defenseless as Memphis led 50-20 at the half. The Spartans looked better in the second half as they outscored Memphis 54-42 to make the final score 92-74.

For a while, I never thought Drew Neitzel would ever make a basket. Antonio Anderson had him hancuffed all game long. Raymar Morgan didn't fair much better.

Big 10 basketball apparently was down considerably this year. I have gotten to where I don't enjoy the style of play that most of the teams use. Sure was a lot more entertaining to watch Tennessee and Memphis go at it, as opposed to Iowa and Wisconsin.

The tournament this year has been pretty dull, with not many exciting games.
