Exhibition Basketball

Postby BYUfan1 » Sun Nov 09, 2008 12:55 am

It's that time again. The beginning of college basketball is on the horizon. Right now, what we have is exhibition basketball. I have just finished watching UTEP defeat Division III Sul Ross State from Alpine, Texas 111-76. Not an unexpected result, but still worth seeing. UTEP's major scoring weapons going in, Stefon Jackson and Randy Culpepper had solid games. Memphis transfer Kareem Cooper also played well. At 7-0, 290 lbs, he will give the Minors an inside presence they have not had in a long time. It was only an exhibition game, but I was dissapointed he didn't play more extended minutes. Freshman Arnett Moultrie was impressive and sophmore Gabriel McCulley was one of the last players to get in the game but was explosive instantly.
