Fairfield used their superior athleticism to defeat Holy Cross 78-66. Center Anthony Johnson scored 20 points for Fairfield as point guard Jonathan Han chipped in with 18 points and 11 assists. Holy Cross had their freshmen play well as Devin Brown had 22 points and R.J. Evans had 13 points. Ralph Willard might have taken Holy Cross out of the game when he decided to start the same starting five that were outclassed by Fairfield at the beginning of the game.
