Bracketbuster Saturday got off to a early start as Old Dominion defeated Liberty 80-56. Gerald Lee had his way inside for the Monarchs as he scored 26 points. Ben Finney added 19 as Old Dominion pulled away after a close first half. Seth Curry scored 24 points for Liberty in a losing cause.

I caught a bit of this game. I think the CAA is actually a 2-bid league or should be, but the quality at the top of the conference runs 4 or 5 teams deep and will hurt the appearance of their overall records.

I wish it was easier to catch league games on tv because the CAA is a good league. However, I don't see it getting more than 1 bid. George Mason has the best RPI at 54. (VCU-71, Northeastern-82, Drexel-106, ODU-121). Plus, nobody really has any big wins. Northeastern did beat Providence but also got destroyed by Michigan and South Florida. ODU won at Charlotte but lost to UAB and Marshall. VCU has lost to Vanderbilt, Rhode Island, and Nevada. George Mason's best non-conference win is against Vermont. Four or five teams might be in a post-season tournament, but I see just one in the NCAA.
