The Houston pulled out a close one against TAMU-CC 83-76. Aubrey Coleman led Houston with 29 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals. Kelvin Lewis added 22 points and 4 steals in the victory. The Islanders were lead by Kelvin Palmer with his 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Houston won despite being outrebounded 44 to 28.
