Providence recovered from a lackluster performance in the first half that resulted in a 37-33 halftime lead to defeat Brown 78-62. The Friars had a 56-38 edge on the boards and had 24 offensive rebounds. Kyle Wright scored 15 points for Providence. and Jamine Peterson had 22 points and 9 rebounds.

Andrew McCarthy had 14 points and 9 rebounds for the Bears. Matt Sullivan had 12 points for Brown, all of them coming in the first half. Brown takes a long break after playing 11 games in 22 days.
