UMKC-Oakland

Postby BYUfan1 » Thu Jan 14, 2010 10:36 pm

Every time Oakland built up a double digit lead, Missouri-Kansas City kept battling back. Eventually, the Kangaroos ran out of time and energy, and the Grizzlies went on to win 87-73. 6'11" Keith Benson took advantage of his size advantage and scored 22 points for Oakland. He also had 13 rebounds and 5 blocks. Freshman guard Ledrick Eackles chipped in with 20 points, and Johnathon Jones dished out 12 assists. For the UMKC Kangaroos, Spencer Johnson made 4-of-6 3-pointers and totaled 17 points. Kirk Korver also made 4-of-6 3-pointers and had 15 points. Oakland shot 20 more free throws than UMKC and made 21 more than the Kangaroos.
