Rhode Island-Dayton

Postby BYUfan1 » Tue Jan 26, 2010 10:35 pm

For the second year in a row, Marquis Jones made a basket late in the game to defeat Dayton. This time, Jones made a 3-pointer with 3.6 seconds to help Rhode Island defeat the Flyers 65-64. With the loss, Dayton also no longer has its 30-game home court winning streak. Before the shot by Jones, Dayton had taken the lead when Lamonte Ulmer foolishly fouled Chris Johnson on a 3-point attempt, and Johnson sank all three free-throws.
