Minnesota-Northwestern

Postby BYUfan1 » Wed Jan 27, 2010 3:34 am

Blake Hoffarber made five 3-pointers and rebounded a Gopher miss on a free throw late in the game to help Minnesota end a three-game losing streak and defeat Northwestern 65-61. Hoffarber ended up scoring 20 points and Lawrence Westbrook chipped in with 18 points. The Golden Gophers had a 13-point second half lead but too many turnovers helped Northwestern get back in the game and gain the lead 49-48. For the Wildcats, John Shuma scored 19 points, and Michael Thompson had 15 points.
