East Carolina wins the battle of the C-USA bottom-feeders 76-65. The Pirates are now 9-17 for the year and 3-9 in conference play. Rice falls to 8-18 and 1-11 in C-USA. Rice shot 37% for the game and made just 3 of 23 three-pointers. ECU shot 60% in the second half and 45% for the game. ECU point guard Brock set a career high with 27 points. He also had 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Jontae Sherrod chipped in with 15 points while Jamar Abrams added 13 points for the Pirates. The Owls were led by Tamir Jackson who had 22 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals. In the losing effort, Lucas Kuipers had 14 points and 5 rebounds.
