Santa Clara turned a 39-36 halftime lead into an easy 99-709 victory over the Matadors of Cal State Northridge. In the first half, Santa Clara was outscored 20-12 in the paint, but beat the Matadors 30-12 in the second half. Kevin Foster sparked the second half scoring outbust by the Broncos and finished the game with 22 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. His backcourt mate, Evan Roquemore, had 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists. Rashaun McLemore had 21 points and 5 rebounds for Northridge while Lenny Daniel scored 17 points for the losing side.
