The Pepperdine Waves ended their six-game losing streak to the Portland Pilots by winning 66-64. Portland had two shots at the end to win or tie the game, but both shots missed. Mychel Thompson led the way for Pepperdine with 18 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocks. Lorne Jackson chipped in with 15 points and 6 assists. Portland is known for its shooting prowess but shot just 37.3% from the field and 36.4% (8-22) from 3-point range. Both Luke Sikma and Nemanja Mitrovic had 19 points for Portland. Portland falls to 17-8 and 4-5 in the WCC, while Pepperdine moves to 11-16 and 5-5.
