Idaho State-Northern Colorado

Postby BYUfan1 » Tue Mar 01, 2011 4:23 pm

Idaho State fans went home sad last night when their Idado State Bengals were officially eliminated from possibly entering the Bisg Sky Tournament with a 77-74 loss to the Northern Colorado Bears. It was a close game throughout, but Chris Kaba blocked a Broderick Gilchrist shot as time expired to preserve the victory for the Bears. Devon Beitzel made all 16 of his free throw attempts on the way to a 28-point night. Neal Kingman scored 14 points to aid Northern Colorado's cause. Northern Colorado 18-10 (12-3 in the Big Sky) is a victory over Sacramento State at home Wednesday night away from winning its first Big Sky regular season title and the opportunity to earn an NCAA Tournmament berth on its home court. Idaho State still has game remainind to play and stands at 9-19 and 4-11 in Big Sky play.
