The Detroit Titans used a 32-13 run to blowout the Alabama State Hornets 80-56. Alabama State led for most of the first half before Detroit went on a run to a 40-34 lead at the half. The Titans finished off the game by holding the Hornets to 3 field goals in the final 14:37 of the game. Alabama State shot 31.7% (20-63) from the field for the game while Detroit shot 53.7% (29-54).

Doug Anderson put on a dunking exhibition while scoring 16 points and collecting 12 rebounds for Detroit. Point guard Ray McCallum had 19 points and 5 assists for the Titans. In a losing effort, Tramaine Butler scored a game-high 24 points and registered 7 boards.
