Fairleigh Dickinson-Sacred Heart

The Fairleigh Dickinson Knights lost again, this time to the Sacred Heart Pioneers. The Knights (2-21, 1-11 in NEC) shot just 39% (22-56) from the field, including 4 of 24 from 3-point range. The Pioneers had a slim 30-27 lead at the half but opened the game up by scoring the first seven points of the second half. Sacred Heart shot 52% in the second half and 46% (25-54) overall. Both Louis Montes and Shane Gibson came off the bench for Sacred Heart to score 16 points. Gibson came into the game as the leading scorer in the Northeast Conference but did not start because of flu-like symptoms. Forward George Goode registered 19 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists in the losing effort for the Knights. The Pioneers are now 11-14 on the season and 5-7 in conference play.
