Postby BYUfan1 » Wed Feb 08, 2012 10:09 am

The Clemson Tigers again ended up on the losing end of a close game, this time to the Maryland Terrapins 64-62. Clemson has now lost 9 games by 5 points or less. Clemson was behind by 14 points three different times in the second half but found themselves down by just two points with 2:12 to play in the game. Andre Young had a chance to tie the game with 10.7 remaining, but he made only 1 of 3 free throws after being fouled shooting a 3-pointer.

The Tigers shot just 35% (22-63) from the field while the Terrapins shot 49% (23-47). Terrell Stoglin led the way for Maryland with 27 points and 4 steals. Sean Mosley chipped in with 16 points and 6 assists for the Terrapins. Young registered 15 points and 4 assists for Clemson. Milton Jennings came off the bench to score 14 points for the Tigers. Clemson falls to 3-6 in conference play and 11-12 overall. The Terrapins are now 14-9 overall and 4-5 in the ACC.
