Randall Holt hit a 3-pointer with 23.5 seconds left to lift the Kent State Golden Flashes past the Eastern Michigan Eagles 62-58. The nails in the coffin occurred when Darrell Lampley missed a layup with 6 seconds left, and Jamell Harris was charged with an intentional foul with 4 seconds left. Kent State made 3 of 4 free throws to close out the win. Kent State shot 47% (22-47) from the field while Eastern Michigan shot 44% (24-54) from the field and 50% (6-12) from long range.
Lampley paced the Eagles with 18 points and 7 assists. Antonio Green registered 12 points in the losing effort for Eastern Michigan. Justin Greene had 17 points and 6 rebounds while Carlton Guyton scored 11 points for the Golden Flashes. Kent State raises its record to 17-6 and 7-3 in the MAC while Eastern Michigan falls to 10-14 and 5-5 in conference play.
