The eleventh day of the eleventh month at the eleventh hour the Treaty of Versailles was signed. Thanks to all those that have done their part to preserve freedom in our world. There were and are many. Some of the forgotten patriots were those that not only served, Spence mentioned his father was in Korea, but those that had civilian jobs to help the war effort. My father was transferred by his company, under direction of the War Department to the West Coast. My father-in-law worked for the Union Pacific railroad and was frozen on his job to keep the trains moving in the United States, which then were the way troops and equipment were moved.
