I'm not talking about me...not right now!

They did this in my home town of Charleston, WV this year. I was there when they filmed it. Charleston is small, and they usually have this in Fiji and Hawaii, places like that. I don't know why they did it back home? Economy?

I use to watch that on tv every year. However, one year I was watching and a guy was straining so hard to lift something over his head that one of his legs literally snapped in half (and not at the knee where your leg is suppossed to bend). It disguted me so much I have never watched sense. I still can not get that image out of my mind.

I didn't know you were from Charleston. Charleston is only about two hours from my house. I've been down that way plenty of times, although I go to Huntington more often. Charleston is pretty spread out. It doesn't have a huge population but covers lots of ground.

I can much better take horror gore or someone getting shot than to watch things like that! The table incident at Marshall, I made sure I did not watch the numerous reruns of.

Yeah I have been from there my whole life!

I returned to work in Charleston last April for an Engineering Firm while I lived in South Carolina. I have kept working there while the family transferred to Texas. I have been working from our new home in Texas since early December. I head back for a month or so at the end of the month.

Charleston is alright, spread out, with towns and cities like South Charleston (where I actually work), St. Albans, Dunbar, Kanawha City, Nitro, Cross Lanes, Sissonville, Winfield, and others that are just melded right in. Downtown is rather nice and some of the suburban area but there aren't enough Starbucks and it is lacking in some glitz. Huntington ain't bad (some say a bit nicer) but I only have went their in my adult life to go to the VA Hospital.

Do you hit those towns on business? (I don't see you longing for Tri-State Park.)

I used to work Charleston, Hurricane and down old route 60 into Huntington back to the Ohio Side into Portsmouth and back home. Probably 22 or 23 years ago. I spent some time in Robbie's in Huntington back in the day. None of them look the same as they did back then. I had a customer who owned a motel and truck stop chain back then, the name of the motels were Smiley's motels. It was probably before your time, but I bet your parents would remember them.
