So, you score a Touchdown, recover the onside kick, down by 20, have the ball 1rst & 25 after a offensive pass interference call, there's 6 minutes left --- and you decide to run the ball two plays in a row?

The ensuing touchdown just score maybe too little too late ... 13 point game, by they ran too much clock on themselves.

If they're gonna pull this off, they cannot make any mistakes from here out ... and they have to utilize better play calling.

Ah yes, that was the sort of mistake I was referring to.

Poor execution of an onside attempt sees the return team inside the redzone, with a late hit penalty . . .

Now, does Toledo go for the endzone on 4th & goal?

Nope, field goal coming up . . .

Success; a 16 point game.
3 minutes exactly left.

So, that was almost exciting . . . Buffalo just got in too deep a hole to dig themselves out from . . . they waited too long to get motivated, and played themselves out of the game.

It was a fun game to watch. These kids play hard and at the end, you could sense the motivation, but as you said...little too late.
