In their last tune-up game before playing Memphis, the Houston Cougars lead Marshall 40-23. Led by Robert "Fluff" McKiver, Houston is hot from 3-point range. Even Lanny Smith, who doesn't hit many, made a 3. Looks like Memphis-Houston will be the C-USA game of the year.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Houston wins 71-58. McKiver finished with 19 points. In a losing cause for Marshall, Darryl Merthie finished with 22 points. The only thing that went wrong for Houston in this game is that Tafari Toney went down in the game with a high ankle sprain and did not return.

Re: Houston Is All Fluff
I like Houston this year. I think they should make the NCAA tourney if they can handle all of their C-USA foes besides Memphis.
I think Memphis seriously needs to consider moving to the Big East. This could help their football and basketball programs.
