So glad that Oklahoma was shown to be the fakers I thought they were!!

I'm so tired of seeing them ranked #1 in Preseason. And only disappointing before the season is out. Yet they STILL get the love EVERY year, and it ticks me off, don't know why.

They are quickly becoming my USC.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

Well...the Sooners have had four 11 or 12 win seasons of the last five...that buys some respect.

Bama hasn't done that, Auburn hasn't done that, LSU hasn't done that......Boise and Ohio State have...

OU made some adjustments and Jones made some good plays and was pretty solid. I thought maybe they were wilting under defense because of Jones at QB but he looked pretty solid. I would definitely say Jones had a heck of a game.

I missed the first half of the game due to the weather delay changing coverage in my area. There is a pattern with winning teams that stumble. Most consistently winning teams have tons of talent and genetics on their side which perpetuates winning and further genetic and talent recruiting. Once you've got good size, speed, and talent the easy teams become easier, and the normally challenging teams become easy. I've seen play callers become complacent and vanilla because of the ease with which their team is able to move the ball. Then they hit a good solid competitor on a level playing field with them and they try to use their unimaginative vanilla play calling. The result is often disastrous and this is what I think cost them the game.

I'm watching this with my team. 12 years ago, Vick used his skills and some good play calling from Ricky Bustle(Head Coach LA-Laf) to take an undersized team into the NCG. Two years later Bustle left for LA-Laf and Stinespring took over. The play calling has been horrible and the offensive production dismal ever since. The play calling has been good enough to beat most people but not good enough to win the big ones.

With Tyrod Taylor the last few years the offense has been much better but only because he was able to take off and run for 50 yards. In big games the play calling stayed vanilla the whole game and we'd get blown out. O'Cain the new shot caller is really starting to open up this offense. The current season average of 427 yards/game surpasses all but the 1999 National Title run led by Michael Vick. The 479 yards/game for the last three games is the best since the 1999 season as well.

Since that time we've squandered so much talent. We had a receiving corp that all ended up in the NFL. Eddie Royal, and Josh Morgan are still starting and yet they were not that memorable at Tech. The reason the program has been so successful is because Bud Foster has managed to keep the defense in the top 10 for most of his tenure. I used to know how many times the defense had outscored the offense and how many games the offense wasn't really needed but Tyrod Taylor won a lot of games with his impromptu runs and great arm. This is the first time since Vick that I can remember a QB consistently having over 200 yards through the air. As a matter of fact 225+ yards per game thanks to the Washington Post. Most in the Frank Beamer era(25 years). 250+ yards per game since the ECU debacle which only included 20 pass attempts, and 285 yards per game since the Clemson loss. Tyrod Taylor only passed for more than 285 yards three times in four years as a starter. Logan has done it twice this year, 310, 292, with a mere 280 against Wake Forest and a dwindling 268 against BC.
